There are dozens of universities offering online MBA programs. While they almost all have a core curriculum in common, they also will offer courses which are unique to their institution. Many of them also offer specialized MBA programs. For example, Regis University Online offers an MBA in Marketing, an MBA in Finance and Accounting, and an MBA in Health Care management, in addition to their standard MBA program.

A typical online MBA program will offer courses such as the Essentials of Business Development, Financial Management, Marketing Management, Business Economics, Business Law, and Ethics.

Many online MBA programs require that you complete between 30 and 60 credits in order to receive your degree. A good rule of thumb is that over the life of an online masters program, you should expect to spend approximately 20 hours per credit.

In addition, some online MBA programs require that you spend some amount of time (usually a week or so) in person at the university, and some require that you take your exams in person. Others do not have these requirements.

Some programs which offer online MBA programs include Drexel University, the Whitman School of Management at the University of Syracuse, and Regis University Online.
